Privacy policy

This site is a portfolio, with a way to try our work. It has no shop, no newsletter and no advertising. It collects what you type into the contact form or the demo request form, and only to answer you or build your demo.

Who is responsible

The site is operated by ThinkDevs. Our registered details and the address to write to are at the bottom of this page. For anything about your data, write to devs@thinkdevs.com.

What the contact form collects

The form asks for your name, email address, phone number, company and your message. Name, email, subject and message are required; phone and company are optional and you can leave them empty. Submitting the form sends your message to our own inbox and stores it in our own Odoo system, so that a person can read it and answer you.

What the demo request collects

The demo request form asks for your name, email address and phone number, and optionally your company, what the demo should show and which apps you want to see. It files a request in our own Odoo system and opens an enquiry for it, so that a person can review it and send you a trial link. We also record the network address a request came from, to stop the form being abused.

Your logo and your trial

Choosing a logo on the request page to preview its colours happens in your browser: the picture is not uploaded. In the trial, the logo you add is kept with your request and used to theme your demo, which runs on our servers. When the trial ends, sign-in closes and its data is kept for a few days in case you ask for more time; then the database is removed, and its backup is deleted a few weeks later.

Counting visits

We count visits with Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookie and does not identify you: it counts pages read and a few actions, such as playing the walkthrough or pressing a trial or contact button, as totals. Plausible processes these counts on its own servers in the EU.

Videos and tours

Demo videos and screenshots are served from this site, not from a video platform, and load only when they come into view or you play them. Where we offer an interactive product tour, it is hosted by a tour provider and loads only when you press its button.

Why we are allowed to hold it

You asked us to contact you, and you ticked the consent box to say so. That consent is what we rely on, and we record the moment you gave it alongside your message. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to devs@thinkdevs.com, and we will delete the message.

What we do with it

We read it and reply. That is all. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not profile you, we do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.

Who else can see it

Your message sits in our own Odoo system, on a server we run. Our hosting provider can technically reach the machine it sits on, as any hosting provider can, and the mail service that carries the notification to us handles it in transit. Nobody else is given access to it.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry while the conversation is live, and for up to 24 months afterwards so that we can pick up a thread that goes quiet and come back. After that it is deleted. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Write to devs@thinkdevs.com and we will answer. If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Visitors from the EU and the UK

ThinkDevs is based in Pakistan, so if you write to us from the EU or the UK your message is transferred outside your own country to reach us. We only ever transfer what you chose to put in the form, and only so that we can reply to you.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we change this page and the date at the top of it with it.
